​If Nicodemus was a pharisee, can we crawl into his mind and see what he was thinking as a pharisee?  Scholarship has altered what we know about ancient pharisees, principally, by showing that we don't know what we used to think we did know.  Why? What do we know about them through history, the Dead Sea Scrolls, and rabbinic literature?  Are they always the "bad guys?" ​ No.  Take Nicodemus, for example. And others, too.  What can we conclude about Nicodemus and his faith journey and why is that significant for us?
