LECTURE 10 - Women At the cross: The Gospel Accounts

Jesus’ followers included many women from Galilee who supported him out of their means.  In other words, they were rich women.  They followed him to Calvary.  

Who were these extraordinary women and what do the different Gospel accounts say about them?  Of Jesus’ followers, why were only women (well, except for John) at the foot of the Cross?  Is there some significance in this?

What do the different Gospel accounts say about who was there?  And what are we to think about those different accounts?  Did Jesus have an "Aunt Mary" who was there?
