Lecture 8 - Two Thieves

The Gospels tell us that executed along with Jesus were two "lestai," which is commonly mistranslated as "thieves."  They were "robbers," something worse under the law, even then. 

But one of them repents.  And Jesus tells him he will be with him in "paradise" that day.  What did he mean by that? 

The account gives us much to ponder.  The first person into Heaven is an unbaptized repentant criminal? What does that tell us?
